The Women of Lockerbie, is an emotionally powerful show, and it was vitally important that lighting was used as an aid to this, supporting the actors within their space. I used lighting primarily to create environment in Lockerbie, bringing us through the depths of night to the sunrise that caps the play, recreating a dark forest night in Scotland on December 21, 1995. Lockerbie was also my first time working with an Assistant Designer, and working with their skillset to best augment my own, in order to create the most engaging production possible.
